Asma's Daily Throw-up #13

As you guys know by now, I write in short bursts in between slups. Although I don't know how long that will last. If I'm taking too long to post, please excuse me. I'm sulking. I'll be up soon.

Other updates:

• Because of Ramadan and my own fault, I've become an insomniac. Sleep-deprivation is not cute or a commendable achievement by any means. After watching Nakta from ToppDogg explain his working process now compared to before, it made me determined to sleep more and do more writing in the daytime. *I wish I could find his video for you right now but I can't. I'll find it later.

• My Hooyo's (Mom's) car is finally MINE. I can drive without any worries now. Yay!!! I'm going to travel my town and go to the supermarket and go to doctor's appointment and get shots (this is true. it's happening tomorrow/today.)

• The music video is almost at 400K views (1theK + JTune) after one week. Go Madtown! You dangerous! (sorry)

This won't be your typical review. I'm going to a little scatter-brained because this past week has taken a toll on me mentally and physically. this will be a little bit of me rabbling like I'm doing now, fangirling, being confused and not at all professional.

First of all: Visuals. 

Bam. Eat your heart out. What do you do in a group of all handsome and talented men? Stan them all. No way around it. No turning back.

  

My Feelings about EXO

Even if you have been listening to KPop for the shortest of whiles, you would have already know by now the power of EXO. You've heard about the crazy fans and their dedicated wallets, you know that the group is under a top-three company machine, you've heard about the scandals and controversies, etc, etc, et cetera. I started to become wary of them. Don't get me wrong! I've liked their music, their voices, and their handsomeness. I just felt like I couldn't connect with them as a bias level group.

Here, I wanted to talk about my conflicting thoughts about EXO, as well as my increasing interest in getting to know more about them.

BREAKING NEWS: Somebody please resuscitate my heart!!!

Ok, so excuse the overdramatics, but I need to get this out of my system. MADTOWN is coming back. June 21. I am prepared with my money. I don't how about how serious I am but for now, everything is a YES.

So, I got into Madtown during their last comeback for "OMGT". I saw people reacting to them. This was the type of song to me hooked on them anyway. But I got lost in their past, watching their pre-debut, their behind-the-scenes videos, interviews, and listening to all of their songs, even Pro C and Lee Geon's covers. I was there when they opened up their V-app channel and I have fallen deeper and deeper with their silliness, outrageousness, and randomness. I feel like I've gotten closer to Buffy after his incident. I rooted for Jota and was happy to see that he introduced more people into his group. Then I saw them perform with BTS and MR:MR, and I was like "That's it, my faves hanging with my faves. Argh, I can't!"

This is the first comeback I will wholeheartedly experience from Madtown after discovering them. I didn't want to believe it because I was waiting so long. Then Buffy announced their comeback in Japan. I saw the date, but I still didn't believe it, until I heard it from Lee Geon's mouth on the V-app. Then I started panicking. This was real real. And then today, I saw TEASER PICTURES!!!

Heojun, stop making me change my bias list!

Dean is pretty?

Asma's Diary Throw-up #12

Hi, Everybody,

To be honest, I don't know who I'm talking to or whether you care. I'll still keep pretending that you do and talking like you're all right here cuz I need that.

• It is the 7th day of Ramadan. I've been doing the salat regularly now I'm so proud of myself. 

• I realized today that whenever a jam song comes on I go on a triad (by myself) about how I "love this ******* song", concluding that I need to stop swearing. 

• I still looking for a job but I thought I should probably take it seriously after Ramadan. The stress of starting a new job in the middle of Ramadan is unbearable. 

• Today, after a month of getting my driving license I finally mustered up the courage to drive myself to work. All the turns I thought I might screw up, I did, but not as badly I thought. I'm so proud of myself. 

• I'm saving my money again. This is a temporary list of what I want to buy soon:

1. A sim card tray for iPhone 4S - $1.50
2. Microsoft word for Mac - $149.99
3. Wacom Intros Draw - $79.99
4. A camera + lens kit - $800
5. An acoustic guitar - $80
6. A stylus for Apple - $10

Anyway, stay tuned for more lists, reviews, updates and etc. I'm going to keep writing and improving and I hope you keep reading and engaging.

Rush Hour - The TV series got canceled.

Let me talk about Rush Hour - The TV series. Rush Hour only had four episodes. Four episodes! On the fourth episode, I was really tired but I stayed up till 10 o’clock, because I wanted to give them views. But my worst fears came true. The next week, when I went back down again at 10 o’clock, Rush Hour was replaced by another unworthy show. All I can think about was how a comedian out of a steady job, a martial artist wasn't doing anymore drama-action scenes, a Hispanic woman was not to be front and center being smart and cool, another black man was not being able to pull off any lovable jokes, we would never get to see the chief boss lady's mysterious sub-story, and imagine all of special guest performances we won't receive.

About Fitting In.

This might take a long time to read. It may seem like I'm babbling but I promise it took me forever to figure the best way to word this thought-piece.

Here goes:

Let's talk about fitting it. I wanted to talk about this for a long time. The question is about the problem with fitting in if you were me is that I don't know how to and I never figured it out because nobody helped me to and even if somebody did tell me, I already came to the conclusion that fitting in really wasn't for me. Instead of fitting in, I just happened to find that I was better at standing out.

Hi, everybody. I'm BACK!!!

So I said I'll show you guys what I bought.

Here it is! I bought a MAC Pro...

BTS is my desktop, as expected.

and my bank account almost broke. This has been my most expensive purchase ever and probably the most sound investment I have very made. Hopefully, I can get a job soon for the summer to buy the applications and equipment I need to start designing and video editing. Extra: I got a iPad mini for free, too. hehe. A bigger screen to watch more K-Dramas with, my dear!

Short PSA: Ramadan is coming soon. Let's be privileged to be Muslims during this wonderful month and the rest of year and the rest of our lives on Earth. Let's learn take the extra time to learn more about Islam and our history, make the salat a habit if it is not already, and remember the true reason Allah gave us Islam in the first place.
